Ski Retrieval #2 August 12, 2019 Waterton Lakes National Park

Well this was attempt number two, I thought now that the snow is gone we'll find it.  Well I didn't anticipate the huge amount of overgrowth on that avalanche slope and well I didn't find it.  This time it cost me less as I took up my new bike instead of renting an e-bike.  When I drove the e-bike it took me 45 minutes and on a regular bike it only took me 1 hour and 10 minutes.  Anyways I will hopefully get a chance this fall when the overgrowth is off the trees and undergrowth?

Saw a bear on the way up

Cloudy rainy wet day at Cameron Lake

Lots of fire weed

On the way up

See this undergrowth, unless I walked right over it I would never see it

Getting higher

A few weeks earlier and the bear grass here would have been amazing

Looking down

No luck, but very lush and green

Not sure what flower this is

Until next time Cameron Lake?
