Wall Lake Winter Camp February 13-14, 2009

This winter camp was a cold one.  There isn't much for camping options for up in Waterton during the winter and I was a little inexperienced at that.  We figured we could just stay at the pass creek camp kitchen and with the fire we would stay warm.  It would have been okay if the door had sealed better and the place was a little more insulated.  I froze and it wasn't a pleasant sleep.  Anyways, the Friday night we hiked up bears hump and then on Saturday we headed to Wall Lake via skis or snowshoe.  The camp was memorable but a little colder than I had wanted.  The boys didn't really complain which was good and we all came home that Saturday night and got warm.

At our goal for the day Wall Lake

Nice view that day

Coming back

Elected to not ski down the end portion of the trail as it is pretty crazy coming down that on skis
