Avalanche Lake Family Hike August 4, 2013

This was another family hike to a beautiful lake in Glacier National.  It isn't a very long hike but it is pretty to be in the lush forest.  The kids had a blast. The hike is about 4.4 km each way and only has an elevation gain of about 505 feet.  Once you reach the Lake you see entire opposite side of the lake is covered in waterfalls feeding into the lake.  Above the lake is Sperry Glacier which feeds most of these water falls.

Another view of waterfall

Hugh rock the kids climbed on

Very well worn trail along the way

Found a hollowed out log for a neat picture

One last cool picture of the waterfall on the way back
I don't have a track of this hike because it is such a common hike and most maps have the trail on it
