*I hope people use their own wise judgement when hiking always plan ahead and be prepared. One should never go beyond their abilities.*

Over the years I've had a few goals my first was to Summit all the Peaks of Waterton. Here is My Waterton Summit List I completed that goal on September 26, 2016.

My next goal I'm still working on and that is to summit the 6 10,000 foot Summmits of Glacier National Park. I have one left Kintla.

My 2018 Goal that I accomplished was to summit 40 peaks in my 40th year and that I finished on September 26, 2018.

Not sure what will be my next goal, once Glacier's Summits are done?

Larch Valley Sept. 27, 2021 Banff National Park Alberta

So the larches were so good on Saturday, I had to try going to the arguably best larch viewing location around, well it was amazing as well, except today it rained on us most of the day, so imagine a clear blue sky day in this area...it would be amazing, next year perhaps.  So I left home sunday night and drove to Calgary and stayed with a friend and slept 3 hours and got up and drove to Moraine lake.  We got to the Moraine lake turn off before the parks people were controlling the access and up to the parking lot around 6:18am and there was only like 3 parking spots left...crazy.  So we slept for about an hour in the vehicle and started hiking.  The day was overcast and you could barely see the mountains of the valley of the ten peaks.  Once we got a little higher closer to the Larch Valley the cloud cover raised a little and we could see the mountains.  But it didn't matter because the Larch Valley is amazing, I figure we were a few days late because some of the needles (30%) had fallen from the trees already.  So a couple days before when the sun was shining would have been a great few days to see this.  Anyway I took lots of pictures and will definitely return next year...weather permitting.
