Over the years I've had a few goals my first was to Summit all the Peaks of Waterton. Here is My Waterton Summit List I completed that goal on September 26, 2016.

My next goal I'm still working on and that is to summit the 6 10,000 foot Summmits of Glacier National Park. I have one left Kintla.

My 2018 Goal that I accomplished was to summit 40 peaks in my 40th year and that I finished on September 26, 2018.

Not sure what will be my next goal, once Glacier's Summits are done?

Egypt Lake Shelter Banff National Park March 8-10, 2019

Well plans for this weekend were to take my back country ski's and use them again, but since I lost a ski I decided snowshoeing would be the way to go.  I think there are benefits to either method, but I definitely feel more confident on my snow shoes than ski's.  So I had never been to this area of the world and it is now an area I'd like to frequent more often.  We headed up on the Friday and started on the trail at the sunshine village parking lot at about 11:00 am.  We didn't have great visibility the entire day and by the time we reached Healy Ridge we couldn't see much and the wind and snow had covered most of the trail.  So we had to blaze our own for a while (this is where the ski's do better in the fresh uphill snow sections).  We eventually got to the cabin by around 6:30-7 pm and we were exhausted.  We started the fire and got warm and set up in the cabin.  The next day Saturday we didn't do much because we were so bagged from the day before.  A few of us went for a little stroll to Egypt Lake and checked it out, but for the most part that day was our rest day.  Then on the last day the 10th we hiked out in one of the most beautiful bluebird day's ever.  The start up the ridge was most of the work but once on the ridge we could see forever and it was beautiful.  We eventually headed out and were driving home by suppertime.  Great weekend and I've already booked the cabin again for a family trip in July, should be fun to see both season's at this shelter.
