Heaven's Gate Idaho July 11, 2014

This wasn't really much of a hike but the views were spectacular.  We had just finished white water rafting for the day down the Salmon river near Riggins Idaho.  We saw that there was a road to this lookout so drove up to it and there was only about a half km hike to the forest fire look out tour.  It was really neat to see the vistas from there and the drive up was much easier than most hikes I take to get similar views.

That cluster of mountains is called Seven Devils

I have never seen bear grass anywhere else this thick
