Bears Hump October 11, 2014

I think this is one hike I've done more than any other hike.  I probably do it every year or at least close to that.  I think one of my claims to fame is that I climbed this on January 1, 2000 to ring in the new century.  A group of friends of mine drove up early and waited for the sun to start coming up and then we watched the sun rise on top.  We didn't realize that Vimy Peak would block the sunrise and so we headed down but we were still the first to climb Bear's Hump in the new millennium.  But on this day October 11, 2014 we headed up with cousins and got a beautiful fall view from Bear's Hump.

From Mountains to Prairie, Waterton is one of the few places around with no foothills

Emerald Bay, there is a boat called the Gertrude that was scuttled about 100 years ago in this bay, I've scuba dived to that boat and one winter many years ago the lake froze over like a sheet of glass and you could actually see the boat through the ice! Also you can see the International boat heading down to Goat Haunt.

On the way down with Vimy Peak ahead, it was clouding over and got pretty miserable once we finished
